I used to spend endless hours comparing NYC to SF.
It actually provided me passionate discussion about something I was so sure I was right about: There's no place like NYC.
Because we of the love-it-or-leave-it-type of New Yorkers believe there is nothing beyond the borders of the Hudson and East Rivers, it never even occurred to me that someone could so passionately compare NYC to another city, without obnoxious judgment, but with a pure artistic wit.
VM knows how to do it right.
I do believe I was missing that trait at the time of those discussions.
I do enjoy the balance he achieves.
